VIDEO REQUIREMENTS

Record your performance including compositions that you wish to present in GENIUS INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL MUSIC COMPETITION 2024 ONLINE.

Recording guidelines:​

• Set your camera/smartphone to achieve good video and audio quality.

• Ensure your camera is stable (you can use a tripod or other device), positioned horizontally, and recording in landscape mode for clear footage.

• Make sure your camera/smartphone is not too far from you (to avoid excessive reverberation).

• Ensure your entire silhouette and hands (for instrumentalists) are visible.

• You may also use a previously recorded performance.

• No editing or clipping of the video is permitted.

• Participants are allowed to perform with sheet music.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT VIDEO?

You can upload your video to YouTube (with only the link accessible to viewers)or Wetransfer and send the link to us email (genius.musiccompetition@gmail.com) before the deadline.

The title of the video should include the contestant's name/category of participation/piece title.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Contestant must fill in the Application Form on the website.

The application fee must be paid directly after submitting the form
otherwise the application will be suspended.

We will confirm the reception of the Application by email.

The application deadline and the announcement of the results will be published on our website on the relevant pages.

If you have any issues with the payment do not hesitate to contact us.

The application of minor musicians must be filled and submitted by their parents or legal guardianship (tutor).

 

 

APPLICATION FEE

The Entry Fee varies between 50 and 95 euros, depending on the choice of age group.

After submitting the application you will be redirected to the secure payment platform where you can select your payment method.

Once the application fee is paid it cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

 

 

DISCLAIMER

By participating in the competition, participants agree to the possible publication and popularization of the submitted recordings and photos for promotional purposes. The competition organizers reserve the right to edit and crop participants’ photos for publication (as promotion) on the Internet.

Requirement FAQ

Q: Can I use the same piece/video to apply for multiple categories?

A:Yes. You can submit the same piece or video across multiple categories, as long as it meets the specific requirements of each category.

Q: What is the participating deadline?
A: You should fill in the Application Form and pay the application fee until 26th DECEEMBER 2024.

Q: Can I play more instruments in one video?

A: You can only play one musical instrument for each application. An additional musical instrument will need to be submitted as another application.

Q: Can I use Audio background for accompaniment if I can't find an accompanist? 

A:​ Yes, you can use the audio background music for accompaniment.

Q: Can I play a single movement of a sonata?

A. Yes, you can play one or more movements.
